PNG Garage Doors Founder Featured In Solterra, CO Magazine

PNG Founder Paul Galligan was recently featured in Solterra Magazine – a publication local to Solterra, a community outside Denver, Colorado. The article details Paul’s story, and how he founded PNG. Here is an excerpt from the article:

PNG Garage Doors | Committed to Consistent, Timely Service… No Matter What!

Owner of PNG Garage Doors, Paul Galligan has truly built his business from the ground up. He is modest and hardworking, and his history in the industry shows just that. Though he has been in the industry for a long time, there is much more to him than his company, and because he values a personal touch to business, he is worth getting to know.

Paul grew up in northern Iowa and moved to Colorado in 2014, which is when he met his wife, Emily. They lived in downtown Golden for a while, where he worked at the highly-rated Sassafras restaurant while Emily worked at Starbucks, a job she maintained for years. When he began his work as a contractor, Paul spent his time and efforts saving up to buy his own tools, equipment, and utility truck until he was able to start his own business. With the connections he made in the industry through his previous work, Paul was able to use the advantages of his experience to create what we know today as PNG Garage Doors.

Paul’s experience leading up to starting his own business is nothing short of diverse, and with that comes a variety of connections that have served him well along the way. Like many entrepreneurs, Paul’s experience was not necessarily geared toward an end goal of owning his own company. Instead, it seems as though working in the garage door installation industry fortuitously fell into his lap … and the rest was history! Paul says he happened to have a friend who needed help and offered him a job, and he’s “been installing doors ever since.”

If you are wondering what makes PNG Garage Doors better than the rest, it comes down to much more than the services Paul offers. Having worked in a variety of industries, Paul is a self-made, hardworking and consistent individual, which is reflected in the quality work his business does for all of his customers. He trains all his techs to pay attention to detail and to “always do quality work that they can be proud of.” Most of all, Paul understands the value of getting to know his customers, as he believes developing relationships is essential to good business.

With a smaller company like PNG, you’re guaranteed a “more personal experience,” and it is clear that they truly care about your well-being. Paul recommends servicing your garage door once a year to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality, safe garage door. He says it is just like changing the oil on your car; it must be done and can be very dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing.

“If you’re having problems, call a professional!” he says and guarantees that with his company, you won’t waste your time talking to ten different people before you get someone on-site to fix the problem. PNG is committed to consistent, timely service, no matter what!

The Galligans just bought their first home near Lakewood and enjoy life with their dogs Omar and Remi, a 4-year-old Australian shepherd and a 1-year-old golden mountain dog. In their free time, they love to visit national parks, as well as their family in Iowa, Oklahoma, and Illinois. Seeing their nieces and nephews is often the highlight of their travels. When they aren’t visiting family, you can find Paul and Emily on the water, whether they are wakeboarding, paddle boarding, or tubing. And in the winter, you can find them on the slopes or even ice skating!

About the author

A Colorado native, Paul Galligan founded PNG Garage Doors as an alternative to the big corporations serving the Denver Metro Area. Front Range clients needed a local option — someone who could offer competitive pricing without national overhead, personalized attention on every project, and experience with Colorado’s particular weather conditions.
