Before & After: Double Amarr Garage Door Installation in Lakewood, CO

Earlier this month, the PNG team completed a garage door replacement project in the Solterra neighborhood of Lakewood, Colorado. It’s always amazing to see how a brand new garage door can transform the face of a home. We couldn’t be happier with how this garage door installation turned out. Here’s the house before our garage door replacement:

Before: Lakewood Garage Door Replacement

These old beige garage doors likely came stock with the house when it was originally built. And while they don’t look bad, they don’t stand out either. The original doors were designed to blend in with the wood trim and cobblestone facade.

In this case, it’s better to stand out than to blend in. A beautiful wood garage door doesn’t just make a visual statement; it can improve the resale value of your home! That’s how powerful a garage door upgrade can be.

For this project, we decided that a set of walnut-colored garage doors with dark tinted windows could really elevate this home’s curb appeal. So, in early December, the PNG team arrived on-site at the Lakewood home to install two new garage doors.

After: Lakewood Garage Door Replacement

The Doors:

Two Amarr Hillcrest 3000s in a walnut color, 16’x8’ and 8’x8’. Complete with bead board, dark tint Thames windows, blue ridge face hardware, polystyrene insulation, 15” track, and trim.

Just look at the difference! This is why the value of a new garage door can’t be overstated.  The deep brown of these Amarr Hillcrest garage doors are a perfect contrast to the lighter colors of the rest of the house. And the gold tint of the windows give the doors an added “pop” that brings the whole project together.
