We had the amazing opportunity to install a new garage door for some homeowners in Golden this past week, and we are thrilled with the results.

The original garage door probably looked fantastic when it was first installed. However, after many Colorado winters, it’s taken a bit of a beating. The bottom has warped slightly, which can really affect the insulation of the door (and increase heating costs!). Pair that with some bending of the track, which has made the door noisier, and these homeowners were ready for a replacement.

We are immensely proud of how this replacement came out. The crisp white color of the door elevates the blue siding and adds a bit more complexity to the house’s facade. The door itself is from C.H.I Overhead Doors — model 2294 with recessed panels — and we think it works perfectly.
The long panel style paired with the Madison windows makes the garage look incredibly spacious without becoming the sole focal point. It also is made with a polyurethane insulation, which will help the homeowners keep heating costs down even on Golden’s chilliest days. It is fitted with a 14” high lift and a 15” radius track and trim.
The LiftMaster Garage Door Opener
We elected to use a LiftMaster model 8500 for this door, which is part of LiftMaster’s elite series. The noise and vibration emitted from this model is extremely little, so the occupants of the house won’t be disturbed by the comings and goings. Don’t worry about security, though. The 8500 comes with an automatic garage door lock, which deadbolts your door the moment it closes.
The myQ app works seamlessly with both the remote and your cell phone, so you can always have access and insights to the health of your garage door. Plus, it is compatible with Amazon Key, which allows your packages or groceries to be delivered securely to your garage. This makes package thieves a thing of the past!
